Maui Beach Listings

Take a tour of Maui's awesome beaches, categorized by general geographical area.

Far West (Kapalua and Napili areas):     The western-most beaches on Maui are found in the resort areas of Honokowai, Kahana, Napili, and Kapalua. These beaches include a wide variety of experiences, from the white sand resort beaches of Napili and Kapalua, to the rocky coastline of Honolua.

Lahaina area:     These beaches extend west and east from bustling Lahaina town. Here you will find Kaanapali Beach, a mile-long stretch of white sand, and other great spots to learn to surf and snorkel.

South Maui (Kihei and Wailea areas):      The southern beaches of Maui offer the white sand and calm blue waters that everyone envisions when they think of Hawaiian beaches.  Oneloa "Big" Beach is a favorite, with a water color that is absolutely mesmerizing.

North Maui (Paia area):         The north shore is mostly sea cliff, but Baldwin Beach is an uncrowded 1.5 mile stretch of pristine white sand with towering palms. At one end of the beach is a park with outdoor showers, BBQ grills and restrooms.  Nearby Hookipa is one of the best windsurfing spots in the world.  Even if you don't enjoy the sport yourself, it is worth a trip to this beach to watch the world's best perform their aerial feats!

East Maui (Hana area):        Hana is the rainforest side of Maui.  Everything is so lush and tropical that the island's true beauty is in full bloom all around.  The beaches benefit from this tropical splendor, with some of the most picturesque spots on Maui.  Its a long drive from everywhere else on the island, but the trip is worth it.

Remember, Maui's beaches, like all beaches, have changing conditions, so please be careful while you enjoy the pleasures of paradise here in Maui.
